Carol Burnett and Friends - the show enjoyed astounding success after havind been reedited into freestanding programs in synidcated reruns. Columbia House released episodes of The Carol Bunett Show on VHS and DVD. We have the Carol Burnett Show Collector's Edition being sold to this day, a major success. Carol Burnett donned the role of host, singer, actress, and comedian on the sets, and her amazing versatality has impressed many. The program was probably best known for parodies of movies, the most famous of them being 'Went with the Wind', a gag at 'Gone with the Wind', and 'From here to maternity'.

"The Family Sketch" gained a lot of popularity with the audience, and was later dished out as 'Mama's Family' (1983 -1990), with which Vicki Lawrence, who starred in it, got much acclaim. The Carol Burnett Company aired 4 new shows between August and September 1079 on ABC following the repeats fo the Carol Burnett Show on CBS. A thirty minute repertory series called Carol and Company was aired on NBC between 1990 and 1991.

The Carol Burnett Show featured another run in the autumn of 91 after CBS brought it back, even though only nine episodes of this revival series materialised on screen. The casting team of The Carol Burnett Show have gotten together on three CBS TV special episodes - The Carol Burnett Show: A Reunion (January 10, 1993) featuring the best moments from all eleven seasons; The Carol Bunett Show: Show Stoppers (November 26, 2001) was a bloopers special of the series The program was a major ratings success; the media credited its timing, being broadbast not long after the September 11 attacks on the WTC; The Carol Burnett Show: Let's Bump Up the Lights! (May 12, 2004) featured one of Carol's favorite ongoing bits - a question and answer session with the audience after turning up the lights upon them.
