Carol Burnett born on 26, April 1933 to a medium family, where of her parents Joseph Burnett and Ina Louise were most of the time unemployed, rose to the level of one of the best comedian in American history. She has performed on a numerous TV shows and some of the shows became much more popular and will be remembered forever and one such show is "The Carol Burnett Show".
Having born to a family where both of her parents were alcoholic and separated in her early age, Carol Burnett was raised by her maternal grandmother Mabel Eudora. Carol Burnett was brought to a rented apartment by her grandmother where she learned the basics of life. Initially she has interest in writing and journalism; however Carol Burnett later did her education in theatre art and English from University of California. She was a gifted artist and her grandmother did everything to groom her and encouraged her for enhancing her skills.
After moving to New York in search of an acting job, Carol Burnett got the first minor role in "The Winchell-Mahoney show" in the year 1955. She later performed opposite Buddy Hackett in Stanley during 1956-1957. Having worked in theatres for couple of years she got a few serials including "The Tonight Show" and "The Ed Sullivan Show". Carol Burnett's career start rising after 1959 when she became a regular part of "The Garry Moore Show" and for performing in a variety of musical programs for the series, she got an Emmy in the year 1962. With the outstanding performance, Carol Burnett rose to a headliner and later she appeared in a number of serials and also got several movies.
Carol Burnett became most popular after her hour long "The Carol Burnett Show", which was aired on CBS Networks on prime time during 1967 to 1978. She impressed the viewers with not only films parodies but with her talents, comical and musical skills also. "The Carol Burnett Show" is one of the most popular variety shows of American history and is not only favorite of Americans but people across the globe would like to see it again and again on their TV screens.
