Carol Burnett Bio

Carol Burnett was on the top of the list of comedy stars. She ruled over the television during 1960s and 1970s. She was born on April 26, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas. She got educated at University of California in Los Angeles. After that she shifted to New York City. She started her work for a little time from plat form of children television show in 1950s. After her first work on television she started it regularly. She also attributed on sporadic CBS-TV specials on Garry Moore show in 1959. She worked there for many years.

Until 1967 she has made a special place in the hearts of her audience. So she started her own comedy show named as "The Carol Burnett Show". She also introduced some new features in the history of TV shows like questioning and answering with the audience, music in comedy show and covered some famous celebrities in her show as well. Carol Burnett also introduced some comedy characters in her skits. She made them successful by her performance.

The show was ended in1978. She broadcasted seasons of her show. After the end of her well admired show, she joined the television again. She performed in comedy series Carol & Company and The Carol Burnett Show in 1990-91. In 2006 she gave a guest appearance in hit television serial "Desperate Housewives". She really worked very hard in her life.

She did not only work on television, she also performed in films. She was admired in those films as well. The movies in which she worked are Pete 'n' Tillie released in 1972, The Front Page in 1974, Annie in 1982 and Noises Off in 1992. She was admired in these movies very much. She has also participated in stage dramas.

She made her debut in stage shows with musical "Once upon a Mattress" in 1959. By the time she also acted in some Broadway shows. Those include Moon over Buffalo (1995 - 1996) and Putting in Together in between (1990 - 2000).

Carol Burnett marriages were ended in divorce. Her daughter died in 2002. Carol Burnett is considering opening a theatre after her daughter's name.
